mission statement
The Hawthorne Club is a philanthropic volunteer group whose purpose is to raise funds to invest in Hunter Rugby. We are unique in that we do not have teams or participate in competitions.
Since its foundation in 1997, The Hawthorne Club has provided more than $850,000 in funds for the support of Rugby and its participants.
our initiatives
The Hawthorne Club is continually supporting initiatives in the Hunter to assist in developing and growing the game of rugby. Our investment into rugby in the community can be categorised into Competitions, Player Welfare & Community Support, with some new initiatives in these areas. In 2022, initiatives include:
